Special Events 2024
You can book our regular Sunday steam train rides or just turn up on the day, but for some of our exciting railway events you’ll need to book in advance (ticket prices may vary).
You can always sign up for our On the Rails event alerts and not miss out on any of our very popular events.
Weekend of Steam

Come along and enjoy our weekend of steam featuring ‘Darent’ our 1903 steam locomotive. Kempton Steam Museum, next door to the railway is also open when you’ll have the opportunity to see the world’s largest working steam engines, high as four stacked double-decker buses working and ‘in steam.’ It’s free parking and there’s a lovely picnic field with play train. Drinks & Snacks available. Not to be missed. £2.50 children (under 3s free) & £4.50 adults. Book train and museum tickets separately. Visit Kempton Steam Museum for details.
Ghostly Galleon Scream Up!
(Advanced Booking Only)
Beware me hearties of those spooky pesky pirates sailing around our railway who are in search of lost gold as you climb aboard our ghostly Scream Up! train. Watch out for the pirates as they try and board our train to carry out their search for gold! Not to worry! Our ghostly Guards will see them off, or will they? Only with your help.
Advance booking only. Tickets £4 for children (under 3s free) and adults 16 years and over £8 – ticket price includes hot drink and cookies. (Parental discretion advised as under 3s may find this event scary).
