Railway 200: Celebrating The 200th Anniversary Of The Modern Railway

Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway Family Fun Weekend 10.30am to 4pm 17/18 May 2025

£3 for children (under 3s free) & £5 for adults (advanced booking only)

Join us as we proudly feature our working simulation and fun representation of Stephenson’s iconic ‘Rocket’ locomotive as a tribute to Railway 200’s nationwide celebration of Britain’s railway heritage.

Experience the captivating story of how railways transformed industry and society, told through ‘Brunel in Petticoats,’ not forgetting our very own Mr. Stephenson!

There’s free parking, a lovely picnic field on site with a play area, and our 7 1/4 inch sit on train is back that children just love to ride!  So, pack a picnic, relax to live jazz, and take a ride on our fun historic ‘Rocket’ train!

If you want to know more about industrial steam history, you can also explore the historic Kempton Steam Museum next door to the railway, housing the world’s largest triple-expansion steam pumping engine working and ‘in steam’. This marvel stands 62 feet tall and weighs 800 tons. Visit www.kemptonsteam.org for more information. No joint tickets available.
