Booking Terms and Conditions
HKWR will endeavour to provide a normal train operating service or planned special events where possible on the day specified when booking online, but unforeseen circumstances may require us to make changes or cancellations. It is strongly advised that you visit our website or social media as it will be deemed your responsibility to check for any alterations and cancellations.
We reserve the right to take our heritage locomotive out of service for maintenance or for any other operating reason at our discretion and use our replacement diesel engine.
All tickets must be pre booked online via our website www.hamptonnkemptonrailway.org.uk You will not be allowed on the train without a ticket. Tickets cannot be bought on site as our Ticket Office will remain closed. You can book for an open-air compartment for up to 6 people including children as a single household or bubble. You will need to print your e-ticket or have it on your mobile phone and bring it with you for our volunteers to check prior to boarding the train.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the train departs. All information about car parking, Covid-19 safety information and opening times and fares can be obtained by visiting our website.
Refund Covid-19 Policy 2021
During 2021, all tickets for our normal train operations, and special events, must be booked online via our website www.hamptonkemptonrailway.org.uk. Due to Covid-19 social distancing restrictions, HKWR will be issuing tickets for customers to book a compartment at a specified train time. If you do not make your booking allocated time, you will not be able to travel, unless there is a cancellation and staff volunteers are able to safely seat you. This is not guaranteed, and we will only employ our best endeavours in the respect.
HKWR will offer a 100% refund on all advanced bookings up to 16.00 on the day before travel when customers will receive a full refund by crediting your credit card that made the purchase. Please note that any bookings not cancelled by 16.00 on the day before travel, will not be eligible for any refund. If you need to cancel or alter your booking, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org We will also endeavour to resell your seats should you not be eligible for a refund. As a charitable organisation however, you may want to consider making your ticket cancellation a donation to the restoration of the railway, which we will be very thankful for.
Data Protection and your privacy
Any information given to us by you will not be used in any way other than to process your order. Card details are not retained, and we will never pass your personal information on to any third party.

Payment Card details provided to our payment provider via this website are transmitted, stored, and retrieved securely. Our shopping cart system uses a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection to ensure that your personal data is secure during transmission between your computer and our payment provider.
